Every mentorship I lead is different, it´s not a tutorial series — because every photographer walks in with a different set of gaps between the work they're making and the work they want to make. The shape is consistent. The substance is yours. Multi-day. Fully personal. In the water together, in the edit suite together, in the conversation together — every day shaped around your gear, your style, your blind spots, your voice. If you've been making competent underwater images and want to make work that actually moves people - this is where that happens.

COMPOSITION
Finding the shot inside the chaos. Negative space, scale, and the rules you should break. What holds a frame together when the subject won't hold still.
LIGHT
Light underwater doesn't behave like light on land. Direction, intensity, color, and how to position your subject for the light you have — not the light you wish you had.
READING ANIMAL BEHAVIOR
Patience is a skill. Not a personality trait, not a virtue — a learnable skill. We work on slowing down until you can actually read what a tiger shark, a whale, a manta is telling you.
PRESENCE
The difference between a good encounter and a great one is almost never technical. It's whether you brought yourself into the water — or just your camera. Not chasing. Not forcing. Just there. That state is learnable.
EDITING
The deep-blue palette. The mood. The consistency across a body of work. We sit together in the edit suite and I show you the whole process — every slider, every choice, every reason. You leave with a workflow you can make yours.

Step one is applying with me — always. Step two is the trip itself, booked differently depending on where.
AT LSD
Step 1 — Apply below. Once we're aligned on what you want and on dates, your mentorship is confirmed. Step 2 — Book your LSD dive (& stay) package separately through liquidsharkdivers-fvm.com or via [email protected]. I'll point you to the right package for your dates.
DURING AN EXPEDITION
Step 1 — Apply below. Mentorship spots on expeditions are limited to one spot per expedition — applying before you book lets me confirm whether I can layer 1:1 time onto your chosen week. Step 2 — Book your expedition separately, through the booking page or via [email protected]. The mentorship layers on top of the week you choose.

My time and expertise. Everything I do with you — in-water sessions, editing sessions, portfolio reviews, the personal style document if you're on the 7-day, and the email follow-up after.
You'll also have the option to shoot with a professional camera setup of mine — so if you don't own one yet, this is a low-pressure way to test the waters before you commit to your own.
What it does not include: your expedition or dive package, accommodation, transfers, or flights.
Those you book separately.
For LSD: Advanced Open Water is the minimum. The tiger dive site is quite shallow (around 8m), but the ocean around Fuvahmulah has currents you need to be comfortable in.
For Mo'orea: you don't need to be a diver at all — it's surface work with humpback whales on
snorkel. You do need to be a strong, confident swimmer able to manage 100m+ from the boat to the whales and back, sometimes against current.
Mentorship isn't about being at a certain level before you show up. It's about wanting to move somewhere specific with your work. The application asks where you feel stuck — that's more useful to me than a polished portfolio.
Yes, but only for the Custom tier — that's what the two-person collaboration option is for.
Standard tiers are 1:1 by design.
If you want to bring a partner or friend along — for the trip, not the mentorship itself — just book their dive and stay package alongside yours and flag it on your application.
I'll shape the schedule so you get both: real time together, and your 1:1 time with me.
You can reschedule once, up to 60 days before your mentorship start date, no charge.
Inside 60 days, we handle it case by case.
A 50% non-refundable deposit confirms your spot. The remaining balance is due 60 days before the mentorship. Cancellations inside 60 days forfeit the balance unless we can fill the spot.
Within 5 business days. Sometimes faster.
I'll tell you honestly, with a reason. That happens sometimes and it's not a rejection of you or your work — it's usually a mismatch in what you're after versus what I actually do. Where I can, I'll point you toward someone who might fit better.
