Tiger shark, Fuvahmulah
LIQUID SHARK DIVERS · FUVAHMULAH, MALDIVES

THIS IS WHAT I BUILT.

A dive centre on Shark Island. A creative hub for ocean storytellers. Tiger sharks every single day of the year — and a local team that knows these waters, and these sharks, like family.

THE FOUNDATION

WHY I BUILT THIS

I came here for the tigers. I stayed because no other place in the world has the same daily encounters — deep water drops within meters of shore, and the ocean does most of the work. So I built the dive centre I couldn't find anywhere else: small groups with a 1:3 guide ratio, a local Maldivian team who grew up in these waters, safety protocols I won't bend, and an edit suite that makes storytelling part of the trip instead of an afterthought. The vision is simple: shift how the world sees sharks, protect the sanctuary of Fuvahmulah, and inspire a new generation of storytellers who dive with purpose.

Fuvahmulah waters

SMALL GROUPS

I keep them small on purpose. Intimate, personal, never crowded. The right number of people in the water is the difference between a good encounter and a great one.

SAFETY FIRST

Safety divers in the water with us, structured briefings, conservative dive planning. I won't dive any other way — and I won't ask you to.

STORYTELLING + CREATIVE HUB

I built this for photographers, videographers, and underwater creatives. The boats are set up for cameras. The edit suite is part of the trip. The whole thing is built around the work.

IN-PERSON EDITING SESSIONS

LEARN MY EDITING IN THE EDIT SUITE.

Every mentorship I run includes editing sessions with me — that's where most of the transformation actually happens. But you don't have to be on a mentorship to learn it. If you're already diving at LSD and want to sit with me in the edit suite, I open up standalone editing sessions on-site. Color, mood, story, the deep-blue signature. Bring your raw files; we'll work through them together.

FOR CREATORS, TRIP LEADERS & STORYTELLERS — A DIFFERENT DOOR

WANT TO HOST YOUR OWN EXPEDITION HERE?

You don't have to join one of my expeditions to bring a group to LSD. If you're a creator, trip leader, or photographer with an audience — you can host your own week at Shark Island and I'll co-pilot. You bring the guests and the vision. I bring the LSD operational backbone, the host structure, on-site energy, and the pre-trip coaching that makes hosting your first expedition not feel like flying blind. The full pitch lives on the co-hosting page.

WHAT DIVERS SAY.

5★ on Google and a Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice 2025 — but read the words. They're better than the stars.

Sina, the founder, is the only non-Maldivian in the team and is a total ray of sunshine!

If you're an underwater photographer, this is the best place since the owner, Sina, is a professional

Everything was incredibly well organized, the groups were small, and there were plenty of guides

FAQ

Our famous tiger dive site sits at around 8 metres, so Open Water technically gets you in the water with the tigers. But most of the island's other sites are deep walls, often with current — to enjoy Fuvahmulah's full potential, I recommend a Deep specialty and some current experience on top. Not there yet? Every LSD guide is a certified instructor who loves teaching. From your very first breath underwater through Divemaster, we'll build you up — that's what the Liquid Academy is for.
Fly into Malé (MLE), then a domestic flight brings you to Fuvahmulah (FVM). Our packages include the hotel and every transfer on the island, and my team helps you coordinate flight timing so nothing feels like guesswork. Most nationalities receive a free 30-day visa on arrival in Malé.
Divers who want their encounters to mean something. Photographers and videographers who want boats, briefings, and an operation built around the work. And honestly — anyone who's done the standard dive-resort thing and came home wanting more. Complete beginners are welcome too: the Academy exists precisely so someone can meet their first shark with confidence.
International flights to Malé, travel insurance (mandatory), and personal gear are always on you — rental is available at the centre. Dive packages, accommodation, and transfers are booked through liquidsharkdivers-fvm.com; mentorships, photo packages, and editing sessions with me are booked here. Everything is line-item clear before you commit.
The honest answer: diving with big animals always carries responsibility, and we treat it that way. Small groups with a 1:3 guide ratio, safety divers in the water, structured briefings, and protocols we never bend. Tiger sharks have been part of this island's daily reality for generations — respect the animal, follow the briefing, and you'll experience something most divers only dream about.
The tigers are here every single day of the year — that's the magic of this island. Seasonally the supporting cast rotates: threshers, blue sharks, whale sharks, oceanic whitetips. If a specific species is on your list, message me and I'll point you at the right months.

SEE YOU ON SHARK ISLAND.

Dive packages, accommodation, and logistics are handled through the dedicated Liquid Shark Divers site.
